Generate DVD Toolkit
Turner Contemporary have created a DVD Toolkit for people who work with under 4s in playgroups and nurseries and Children's Centres. This fantastic resource is free to download and includes information about the Generate project and how to replicate activities and processes.
The Generate project, set up in 2007 by a group of Kent artists inspired by the creativity of their children. The project encourages parents and children to make artwork together through listening, sharing and celebrating outcomes.
In Spring 2008 the artists ran a series of eight workshops for parents and children in St Paul's Community Centre, Cliftonville. These sessions were developed by Turner Contemporary working closely with Cliftonville Children's Centre, Sure Start Margate, Thanet Early Years with funding from Safer stronger Communities Fund.

You can also download principles of the project as well as eight activity outlines and information about how the project helps to meet the Early Years Foundation Stage Targets.
Through Turner Contemporary, Generate artists have run 36 workshops in Thanet- in locations including Children's Centres, in Dane Park, on Margate Sands and in Turner Contemporary's Droit House. The Generate programme has also presented two exhibitions at Droit House.
